“When I first came to Penn, I knew I wanted to join a cultural group so I originally attended a ton of GBMs. PTS was the one that stood out and stuck because of the incredibly warm and fun environment; I am by no means any bit Taiwanese, but PTS didn’t let that get in the way of making me family. PTS has, hands down, the BEST food-filled events and also people who are amazing and constantly reach out to hang out or just talk to you about anything. My most memorable events include the Bubble Tea Social, Night Market, and meeting not only good friends, but lifelong mentors and peers who are extremely passionate about their Asian-American background. I can always count on PTS members to greet me anywhere and welcome me with open arms at all times!”

“Even though I had been a member of PTS since freshman year, I only became more involved my sophomore year when I spontaneously decided to join the annual Cultural Show as one of the three leads. Initially, I was relatively nervous (despite already having met many of the cast members from past PTS events), especially because I had never acted before — but thanks to what was probably the nicest Cultural Team I've ever worked with, along with the most approachable cast and crew, we all bonded very quickly and acting became something fun instead of something to be scared of. This truly couldn't have happened without the nice, caring, and supportive community that PTS truly emphasizes for all of its members. Furthermore, this is all in conjunction to immersing oneself into the API community and learning more about the relevant social issues surrounding it in America, which I only truly found out from joining PTS. This club is (and always will be) a family to me and will be a quintessential part of my Penn memories.”

"I joined PTS after randomly seeing a facebook event for PTS cultural show auditions. After joining the show and being blown away by how fun, friendly and welcoming everyone was, I became an involved member. The thing I love the most about PTS is how much like a family it is; I've been so lucky to have a group of people that I can do everything from late-night studying to singing and dancing with."

“I joined PTS in my sophomore year after getting to know some of the board members who have gone on to become some of my best friends and biggest inspirations. Up until that point, I was never just a member of a group and always had to hold a board position so PTS was the first group where I allowed myself to just relax, enjoy and get to know the people around me. Even though I’m not ethnically Taiwanese (JK 23andMe says I am XD), that never felt like a barrier to me feeling like I belonged. I’ll never forget turning up to Rodin M10 for drama nights, eating delicious food and snacks at night market and, of course, being a part of the cultural show. The last three years with PTS were a big part of what made my college experience so enjoyable and for that, I have nothing but love for the PTS fam and can only hope they continue to be the loving, welcoming and thoughtful group that they are!”
